Spring is in the air… It’s time for your BIA’s AGM!

We welcome all our members to come enjoy a free lunch with us while being updated on WLCBIAA business. For those of you who are unsure if you are members, please just give our office a call. Basically, if you are the owner of a class 5 or 6 property, or a tenant of such property conducting business with a valid business licence, and you are within the Business Improvement Area boundaries (see map here)
– you are a member.
This will be a streamlined meeting featuring a report from our Treasurer, Bernd Eisele, followed by a report from our Chair, Angie Delainey. Directors will then be elected or appointed and the meeting adjourned. If you have time to stay, we look forward to discussing any and all BIA business with you. If your lunch hour is limited, and you want to discuss BIA business, please make an appointment with the office and we look forward to meeting with you to hear your input, feedback and comments.
A NOTE ABOUT NOMINATIONS
Your BIA’s bylaws state nominations for directors are not accepted from the floor – see bylaw 4.2(c)
. All nominees must complete all nomination materials and have them delivered to the BIA’s office before 12 noon one week prior to the AGM: Deadline this year is 12 noon March 29 2017

A NOTE ABOUT VOTING
Your BIA’s bylaws state voting by proxy is not permitted – see bylaw 3.15. A member can make their staff person an Authorized Representative. This form gives the staff person the authority to sit on the Board of Directors and vote at AGMs. As per the BIA bylaw 3.13(c), Authorized Representative forms must be delivered to the BIA’s office before 12 noon one week prior to the AGM: Deadline this year is 12 noon March 29 2017.
