The Four Direction Festival is proud to welcome Christine Turcotte of Willow Tree Pottery (Quesnel). She will be joining the Makers Market on 3rd avenue from 12pm – 5pm as part of the Four Direction Festival’s July 1st event in Downtown Williams Lake.
All of my pottery pieces are made with food safe glazes and are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe, I recommend if you purchase anything with decorative touches such as leaves and berries that you hand wash to avoid damage in the dishwasher.
I have recently moved to Quesnel from Fort McMurray, AB where I lived, worked and raised my family with my husband Denis for the past 15 years.
I learned how to pot and work with clay 7 years ago at the Fort McMurray Potters Guild, joining the guild soon afterwards. As a guild member I was able to develop my skills through mentorship with senior members as well as numerous workshops and a summer course at Reedeer College.
For the last 3 years I have been actively selling my work and have been teaching children’s and adults pottery classes at the Fort McMurray Guild. With the move to Quesnel I am looking forward to working in my own studio and producing new work to offer my customers.
