Keziah’s Biography:

I was born into a family with a love for the Arts. As the youngest of five children I observed a strong love for music in my older siblings. This was a strong motivating factor to start learning music myself. At age 5 I started both piano and voice lessons and shortly after started competing annually in our local Cariboo Festival. In the years following I have also had the privilege of competing at the Performing Arts BC, both as a competitor and an observer. At the 2016 Performing Arts, I was awarded an Honourable Mention for my Musical Theatre performance in Vocal Variety.

Since 2012 I have been a student-teacher under Angela Sommer of Angelkeys Music Studio and at present teach 15 students in piano, and one of those in voice as well. I have served as a piano accompanist to the Angelkeys Children’s Choir since 2012, both for practice as well as their numerous community performances. I have completed both the Canadian Conservatory Grade 5 and Grade 8 piano exam and will have completed the Grade 10 requirements by the summer of 2018. I am working towards my Grade 8 voice exam and am in the process of completing all Theory, History and Harmony requirements for those programs. I have been a scheduled pianist and vocalist in the church I attend since 2014.

As well as excelling in music, I have a passion for dance, the outdoors, family/friends, and the many forms of hands on artistic expression whether it be drawing, painting, or knitting etc. My love for the Arts has created many opportunities for growth and relationship within our community.
