Winter Lights Activities

Yearly, downtown businesses and organizations host interactive family-friendly activities for festival-goers. Activities at each location take 15 – 20 minutes, to allow people to experience as many as possible through the day. These activities are completely FREE, and will be open from 1pm – 4pm on Saturday, December 2. See the list and map below for activies and their locations!

Winter Lights Parade

We are thrilled to announce the return of the Winter Lights Parade! Our parade takes place in the evening, ending at Spirit Square just in time for our light up festivities. Winter Lights Warm Up Event

NEW for 2023 – we are taking our Winter Lights Festival indoors! Join us at The Limelight Theatre following the parade for free, family-friendly festivities. Enjoy caroling, cookie decorating, warm drinks, festive treats, ornament making, and more. The Limelight Theatre is located at 190A Oliver Street.

Each year we facilitate a themed window decorating contest for businesses within Downtown Williams Lake! Participants can win prizes in a variety of categories, as well as an overall grand prize. This year’s participants are listed below, as well as a map indicating each location.

Find the Foxes – Winter Lights Edition

Search our decorated Downtown Williams Lake business fronts for our three resident foxes – Oli, Mac, and Barney! Send us a selfie of you in front of the windows occupied by our foxes for an entry to win a Downtown Williams Lake Holiday prize pack! Each day, from November 27 to December 1, three locations will be featured, complete with clues delivered on our Facebook and Instagram pages. All entries must be emailed to events@downtownwilliamslake.com, or sent to us via direct message on Facebook or Instagram to be included in the draw. A maximum of three entries per day will be allowed, one per location.
