Volunteer Opportunities

The week from Plaid Friday (November 27) to the day of Winter Lights Festival (Saturday, December 5) is a busy, exciting time in downtown Williams Lake. And every year we want to make it better.

Would you like to be on the planning committee for our annual Winter Lights Festival? The theme this year is ‘The World of Winter’ and we want to celebrate the December holidays and traditions of people from all cultures who make Williams Lake their home. Watch our social media posts for more information.

Winter Lights Festival has several components, and volunteers are welcome … no, needed … to make the occasion the best it can be. Judges for the window decorating contest, people to lead the activity stations, and a crew to line the parade up and send it off without gaps and glitches are all so important to the occasion. Can you spare an hour for the parade? A couple of hours for the Winter Warm Up event? A few hours to help us decorate? Please let Sherry know by email at in**@******************ke.com or call the office at (250) 398-5717. Thank you for supporting our community!
